TED Talk of the Week

This TED Talk is a tribute to the amazing mind of Stephen Hawking.  The world lost a great thinker whose contributions will not fully be understood for many years to come.

• John C for once again being the PS guru!  Your support and positive attitude helped us create report cards that accurately report on student learning 
• Jessica, Cassie, Ryk, Allan, Tessa, Robin, Dave, Shawn, and Scott for participating in the 1st ES faculty vs. students swim event.  I think the teachers won :)
• Bin, Bonnie, and Joseph for getting report cards to parents and setting up for the SLC this week. 
• Gloria and Jessica for working with the Student Council to provide snacks for the audience before the musical on Thursday and Friday.
• All teachers for an successful SLC.   There is some amazing learning going on in the ES! 
• An extra special thank you to all those involved in the ES musical!  Set design/art: Matthew Gratz, Robin Kimmerling and Dan Hallwood. Costume/ make-up: June Lee, Ms. Yena, Ms. Min, Ms. Roberts, and Ms Costeira.  Technical director: Layne Todd. Directors: Francis Jaramillo and Allan Moore. Your tireless efforts and commitment to our students is evidenced by the amazing performances we saw this week. 
• Stacy, Cynthia, Bin, and Bonnie for organizing the ES photo retakes.  Our students will look even better the 2nd time around.

Dorm Commitment

As you know, spending time in the dorms is a way for you to fulfill your faculty commitment in the 2017-18 school year. For more details, please reference this presentation shared by Shawn Vento.

Remember to keep track of your commitments by filling out this sheet: ES Faculty Commitment sheet. Please indicate on this spreadsheet how you plan to fulfill your seasonal commitment, and in which season. If you indicate that you will fulfill your commitment in the dorms, Shawn will contact you directly.
