Welcome Back!
I hope everyone had a restful break and are ready for the 2nd half of the year! I am excited to build on the successes we had in S1 and continue to grow together. As we face challenges, know I am here to support and assist in any way I can. My “door” is always open.
Communication in the ES
After looking at feedback from staff and working with the ES Leadership team, we have decided to make a change to the scheduled grade level Nuts & Bolts meetings.
Beginning in January we will change to a bi-weekly whole faculty (all teachers and TA) N&B meeting on Tuesdays at 8:00 - 8:20 am. The first whole faculty N&B will be Jan 22nd in Science Lab B This meeting will replace the weekly scheduled Nuts & Bolts meeting times.
Whole faculty N&B meetings will rotate classrooms so we can see the learning environments that others have created.
During the “off weeks”, the regular N&B meeting times are up to grade level & counselor discretion. Here is the Nuts and Bolts Restructuring document created by the counseling document. Mareena and Jim will be at the T&LC or Planning for Learning meetings throughout the week.

The Months Ahead (January - February)
In response to feedback, here is the schedule for the months ahead. The purpose of this information is to provide clarity as you plan ahead and prioritize tasks.
The biggest task for Jan & Feb is the Annual Order. Here are the guidelines and forms. Your TL will be able to guide you through the process but come see me if you have any questions.
Dates to Remember
Jan 18 - Annual Order team planning time (Friday morning)
Jan 25 - Orders given to Leads
Feb 15 - Leads examine and submit the orders to Principals
Feb 15 - Leads examine and submit the orders to Principals
Feb 23 - Make-up day for inclement weather (not needed yet)
