Exit Interview Invitation
I would like to invite all departing faculty for an exit interview.  The purpose of an exit interview is to gain feedback in order to improve the ES.  Here is a list of questions you can choose to answer during the exit interview.
What was the best part of your job here?
Why did you decide to leave?
How would you describe the culture of the ES?
If you could change anything about KISJ, what would you change?
Did you feel you had the tools, resources, and working conditions to be successful in your role? If not, which areas could be improved and how?
Do you have any other issues or comments you would like to address?

Effectiveness of our professional learning communities Survey
The purpose of this survey is to provide feedback that will be shared at all levels and/or included in upcoming WASC reports. All comments will be published in full unless an individual is named in the comment. These questions are based on the KISJ Professional Evaluation Rubric, Indicators 5, 6 and 7.

Updates From Mr. Vento

For those who were unable to attend, here is the link to the May 23 Child Protection Presentation.  The agenda focused on:
  • KISJ commitment to child protection & safeguarding and what it means
  • crisis management plan review
  • KISJ child protection task force
  • CIS child protection & safeguarding training
  • Safe recruiting
  • Raising awareness
On Saturday, June 8 at 09:00 in the HS cafeteria there will be a breakfast provided as a final opportunity to come together with our colleagues and peers.  All KISJ Faculty, and staff are invited to attend.

During this time, we will also present the KISJ Faculty Global Leader Award to one (1) member from each division “who consistently demonstrates global leadership qualities.  The recipient works to engage students and faculty in global ventures while also supporting school-wide-initiatives. This recipient distinguishes him or herself through a commitment to student and faculty growth and development.”  In addition to recognizing global leaders in the ES, MS, and HS, this year we will also recognize a Global Leader from the boarding department. Each of the four (4) recipients is selected by peers that work in their division. The deadline to vote for this award is Friday, May 31.

Please nominate recipients only within the one division that you work in the most.

Congratulations to our Director of Teaching & Learning, Dr. Rick Odum on being selected to present at the 2019 EARCOS Leadership Conference on Aligning Schoolwide Practice and Policy.
