Exit Interview Invitation
I would like to invite all departing faculty for an exit interview. The purpose of an exit interview is to gain feedback in order to improve the ES. Here is a list of questions you can choose to answer during the exit interview.
- What was the best part of your job here?
- Why did you decide to leave?
- How would you describe the culture of the ES?
- If you could change anything about KISJ, what would you change?
- Did you feel you had the tools, resources, and working conditions to be successful in your role? If not, which areas could be improved and how?
- Do you have any other issues or comments you would like to address?

Teachers and students should line the hallways. Students can create signs to hold with well wishes for the seniors.
Ed Lehmann has shared some information about the seniors that we will be celebrating during the walk on the morning of the 23rd. The purpose is to celebrate the achievement of our students. The spreadsheet information can be used to tell your students a little bit about the students. The team is considering ways to help connect these seniors with our ES students in the future years.

Divisional Department Meetings
We have just completed out last Divisional Department meeting for the academic year for Literacy, Math, Science and Social Studies. Firstly, thank you to the department leads for giving their time and efforts to make these meeting productive. Also, thank you to all members for the Departments for your active participation. Recommendations made by these groups will serve as key focus areas next academic year. You can read the final reports from each department in this folder.
There will be a presentation by each Department group on May 24 (a half day).
Updates From Mr. Vento
Our incoming MS Associate Principal, Mr. Douglas Barringer will be visiting the KISJ campus from Sunday, May 19 through Friday, May 24. Please extend him a warm welcome when you see him on campus.
KISJ was accepted for the 2019-20 school year as a probationary member of the Association of International Schools in Asia (AISA)! We are excited to be joining Korea international School-Pangyo, Senri Osaka International School, Seoul International School, Yokohama International School, and Busan International School in this outstanding organization. AISA believes in the development of each student through academic, athletic, artistic and cultural endeavors. AISA seeks to foster cooperation among its member schools by providing a forum for communication and discussion, by promoting and sponsoring activities and athletic events, and by seeking to serve as an extension of each member school’s program to enhance the development of the students, the schools, and the organization.
A special thank you, Mr. Ty Riddick, for all of your hard work in making this happen!
Congratulations to our Human Resources Coordinator, Mr. Scott Brown on being selected to present at the 2019 EARCOS Leadership Conference on Safe Recruiting.
