Family Weekend Reflection from Teachers
Here are your reflections from Family Weekend.  We will use this information next year to make the days even better.  Next week I will share our parent community reflections.

From the Suggestion Box
I have noticed that more and more students are coming into the building earlier in the morning. There are usually about 15-20 kids that come running into the building around 8:10 or even 8:05. This can cause some challenges for teachers who are trying to prepare for the day. The students are told frequently to go back outside until the whistle blows but it seems that this continues to be a problem and is getting worse without consistency. Some teachers allow it while others don't. Other students have started coming in earlier as well and when asked they say, 'But the __ graders came in!'. It may help to have more admin or duty teacher presence in the front of the ES building for a little bit in the morning until this problem improves.
Thank you for pointing out this issue.  I have spoken with Cynthia and she will be at the front door at 8am.  If you see any students in the school without a permission slip please send them to Cynthia.

When will the ES Faculty Lounge be completed?
(From Dan H) “I am in the process of painting the room. We have 3 different blues that are going on the walls. Two coats have to be applied. I started this afternoon and managed to get a first coat on the largest wall done. I will continue tomorrow after school and stay late into the night. I hope to have it all done by tomorrow night. If I have to come in on Saturday to finish I will do so. I plan to have the room all painted by Monday. The coffee machine and two bean bags have arrived. I picked the up yesterday from Amber. They are sitting in my Art room. The carpet is still in the states and should be here by December 1st. I sat down with Amber and ordered 3 large plants that will be delivered within the next 10 days. We are also waiting on the Coffee tables. Once the room is all painted and all the items are here it's just a matter of arrangement. Lets shoot for completion at the end of the month.”
